2009 marked my debut as a novelist and I want to thank my readers for a fantastic couple of years. With your help, Library of the Dead/Secret of the Seventh Son and Book of Souls have been international bestsellers with over
2 million copies sold to date and 29 translations completed or in the works.
The response to the books has been particularly strong in Europe where titles have reached the top-ten bestseller lists in Italy, Spain, France, UK and Germany.
While the first two books are still coming out as debuts in several translations, a highlight of 2011 is my third book, The Tenth Chamber, which has become the #1 selling book in Italy as La Mappa del Destino.
The Tenth Chamber combines my passions for archaeology, medieval history and science into a fast-paced thriller filled with surprises and historical detail. A damaged manuscript in a countryside abbey leds French archaeologist, Luc Simard, to an amazing prehistoric painted cave in the Perigord region of France, a cave even more spectacular and enigmatic than the great cave of Lascaux. And Luc soon finds that the dark chambers of the cave conceal a dangerous secret fanatically protected for hundreds of years by the villagers of the nearby town of Ruac, a secret that they will kill to protect.
