“Glenn Cooper’s Secret of the Seventh Son is a gripping revisit of the ancient battle between Free Will and Predestination: a dangerous secret, sought across three simultaneous time zones: Britain’s early Christian era, Churchill’s post-war Iron Curtain, and today’s ‘Area 51’ — a mysterious unmarked spot in the remote Nevada desert. The hidden secret behind the ‘Secret’ raises the unsettling spectre that what we imagine is freedom might be part of an all-encompassing — and terrifying — plan.” Katherine Neville, Bestselling Author of The Eight and The Fire

Library of the Dead is one of the best-constructed novels I’ve read in my over 14 years as a book critic. Glenn Cooper deserves to be more successful than Dan Brown.”

Antonio D’Orrico, Corriere della Sera Magazine, Italy

“Prepare to be enthralled by this epic thriller. Glenn Cooper’s debut novel is a masterpiece of suspense.”

Peterborough Evening Telegraph, UK

“Glenn Cooper’s Library of the Dead marks the debut of a startling new talent. Here is a story both incandescent and explosive. A seamless blend of modern-day thriller and historical mystery with an ending that left me breathless. A debut not to be missed.”
James Rollins, Bestselling Author

Book of Souls is an amazing book and a fabulous follow-up to the awesome Library of the Dead that had me hooked last year.”

Amanda CM Gillies, Eurocrime, Scotland

“A serial killer religious conspiracy thriller with a fabulous paperback original package. It is my tip for the biggest debut of the year.”

Jonathan Ruppin – Bookseller (UK)

“As Cooper builds the layers of intrigue it becomes clear that this is no ordinary crime thriller, but one that asks big question…gripping.”

Sunday Telegraph (UK)

“In The Devil Will Come, Glenn Cooper proves once more skillful in playing with continuous transitions between past and present and shows he once again fights on the same field of Dan Brown and the esoteric thriller, being able to reconstruct a story full of suspense through the dark periods like the Middle Ages and that of the first community of Christian martyrs.”

Luca Crovi, Il Giornale, Italy

Thanks for visiting my website.

2009 marked my debut as a novelist and I want to thank my readers for a fantastic four years. With your help Library of the Dead/Secret of the Seventh Son, Book of Souls, The Tenth Chamber and The Devil Will Come have become international bestsellers with over 3 million copies sold in 30 international translations. I’ve completed three other books — Near Death (which made its debut in Italy in 2012 as L’Ultimo Giorno) and The Keepers of the Library, the 3rd book in the Library of the Dead trilogy (2013). My seventh novel, just completed, is tentatively titled The Resurrection Maker.

I’m gratified that the response to my books has been especially strong in Europe where titles have reached the top-ten bestseller lists in Italy, Spain, France, UK and Germany.

In the United States, Secret of the Seventh Son and Book of Souls were published by HarperCollins and I’m pleased to report that HarperCollins will also be publishing the 3rd book in the trilogy, The Keepers of the Library, June 2013.

The Keepers of the Library:

The End of Days is near…

The Isle of Wight, January 1775. On a stormy night, an American traveller makes an astonishing discovery on the site of a long-abandoned monastery. Locals believe the site is cursed, but Benjamin Franklin is too curious about the apocryphal Library of Vectis to turn away…

Florida, 2026. Will Piper, former FBI agent, is married, retired and living a life of leisure, his thoughts far from the notorious Doomsday Killer case that vaulted him into minor celebrity status fifteen years earlier. But according to what that investigation uncovered at a secret government site in Nevada, the world will change irrevocably on February 9, 2027. Is it the End of Days? No one knows what the Horizon, as it’s been called, will bring, and much of the world is suspended between pre-apocalyptic hedonism and despair.

When a new Doomsday Killer emerges—inexplicably targeting only Chinese people—and Will’s son, Phillip, disappears, Will is instantly drawn back into the case. Spanning centuries and continents, the breathless, high-stakes adventure that he is pulled into may at last reveal what the Library cannot about the future of humankind—if there is to be one…

Two of my books, The Tenth Chamber and The Devil Will Come have been published in English but haven’t made it to the US yet. You can order them from Amazon.com or Amazon Canada or Amazon UK.
